What drugs may interact with Lexapro?
- Lithium, tramadol, St. John's wort, orweight loss medicines (eg, phentermine) and sumatriptan
- Citalopram
- Beta-blockers (eg, propranolol, metoprolol)
- MAO inhibitors (eg, phenelzine), linezolid, or selegiline because they can cause serious, sometimes fatal, reactions, including fever, restlessness, confusion, excessive sweating, twitching, and seizures. Do NOT takeMAO inhibitors (eg, phenelzine), linezolid, or selegiline within 2 weeks of taking Lexapro
- Pimozide because side effects such as dizziness, racing heartbeat, life-threatening, fainting, irregular heartbeat leading to unconsciousness and lack of heartbeat may increase by Lexapro
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs; eg, celecoxib, ibuprofen,), oral anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), or salicylates (eg, aspirin) because the risk of stomach bleeding may be increased by Lexapro

What side effects may I notice while taking Lexapro?
- Delay in ejaculation; back pain; decreased sex drive; lack of orgasms; constipation; drowsiness; dizziness; unusual fatigue; increased sweating; impotence; diarrhea; loss of appetite; nausea; dry mouth; trouble sleeping; vomiting, upset stomach.
- Severe allergic reactions (tightness in the chest; rash; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; difficulty breathing; hives); changes in amount of urine; sleeplessness; anxiety; black or tarry stools; agitation; chest pain; vomit that looks like coffee grounds; unusually fast or slow heartbeat; stomach pain; impulsiveness; unusual or severe mental/mood changes; mania; hostility; panic attacks; muscle cramps; restlessness; painful or prolonged erection; seizures; suicidal thoughts; uncontrolled movements (tremors); irritability; unusual bleeding or bruising; vision changes.
